Important Announcement about ABC Relocation of Services

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is announcing some customer service changes affecting licensing and enforcement operations for a few specific locations in California. We believe these changes will better serve you.

Effective January 1, 2020, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control will adjust the boundaries covered by our Los Angeles Metro District Office. The related relocation of staff and resources will help make us more responsive to the communities we serve. The following offices will begin handling all licensing and enforcement functions for all ABC licensed establishments in the below areas: 

Lakewood/Long Beach District Office:

• Areas of Los Angeles: Westchester, Playa Del Rey, Marina Del Rey, Mar Vista, Playa Vista, Venice and LAX
• Inglewood
• Santa Monica

Monrovia District Office:

• Bell
• Huntington Park
• South Gate
• Cudahy
• Maywood
• Vernon

 Van Nuys District Office:

• Malibu

Starting Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s San Jose District Office will begin handling all licensing functions for all ABC licensed venues in San Mateo County.
