Beer Price Posting Automation
California Business and Professions Code Section 25000 requires beer manufacturers, wholesalers, and importers to file beer price schedules with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), commonly referred to as price posting.
Disclaimer: The Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regularly archives industry advisories for transparency and historical reference. Please consult the statute, regulation, and/or an attorney before taking any action to ensure compliance with the law.
California Business and Professions Code Section 25000 requires beer manufacturers, wholesalers, and importers to file beer price schedules with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), commonly referred to as price posting. In 2020, ABC will improve the current process by introducing electronic price posting so those required to post prices can do so more efficiently. This online service will be more transparent and fairer, and it will provide a more level playing field for those who are required to post beer prices.
Electronic price posting will save everyone time. The new system will be less tedious for those in the industry required to post, and it will provide the industry, as well as the general public, a real-time view of beer prices in California.
To make this transition from paper to electronic posting as smooth as possible, we are asking all parties involved in beer price posting to subscribe to our email list by clicking on this link www.abc.ca.gov/contact/subscribe/. ABC will keep you informed as the project moves forward. If you have any questions on subscribing to the email list, the Department’s Public Information Office will help you, and can be reached by phone at (916) 419-2500 or email: email@example.com.
