It’s your job to take all actions to protect the unknowing public. Alcohol sales is not a right. Get rid of the bad apples.

As a member of the public, I completely disagree with ABC’s Proposed Adoption of Regulations for Emergency Decisions for Accusations Against ABC Licensees. This state department has more than enough enforcement power as it is, and already has the ability to take action against license holders for accusations of violations.

Considering the current environment of significantly increased regulations, requirements, and mandates that all licensees face from the State, County, and City, license holders do not need yet another department to threaten their livelihood. ABC should be doing everything in their power to support and promote business in our state, not continue to threaten it and shut it down. Businesses accused of violating any rule, mandate, or law should be afforded as much due process as possible to explain themselves and correct the behavior, not be shutdown immediately at the whim of an ABC agent.

We have seen an unprecedented amount of power assumed by all levels of government this year. The heavy handed regulation and enforcement against businesses needs to stop. I disagree with the Proposed Adoption of Regulations for Emergency Decisions for Accusations Against ABC Licensees and ask that this proposal be abandoned immediately.
