ABC Announces New Online Services for Licensees

Sacramento – The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) announces new online services to help make doing business easier for over 93,000 businesses in California. ABC’s Online Services is a place where licensees can come and conduct business online with the Department from anywhere and at any time.
“This new website will hopefully make life easier for Californians who interact with our Department,” said ABC Director Eric Hirata. “These online services streamline how licensees access digital services offered by ABC, it is part of our overall plan to modernize and improve efficiency through the use of technology.”
ABC currently offers licensees these online services:
- Manage a license
- Renew a license
- Become RBS server certified
- Maintain RBS server roster
- Apply to be an RBS Training Provider
With these new online services, licensees will be able to establish a License Administrator Account for their individual business or businesses.
ABC is mailing validation codes in phases that will allow licensees to establish their License Administrator Account; the mailings began June 3, 2022. ABC is using phased implementation that will allow ABC to work with a smaller group of licensees to provide better assistance. Each phase is scheduled for a two-week-time period but may be adjusted based on the licensee support required for each phase. A separate validation code letter will be mailed for each license number.
Phase 1 – Types 41 and 47
Phase 2 – Types 23, 42, 48, and 75
Phase 3 – Type 02
Phase 4 – All other license types subject to the RBS requirements
Phase 5 – All license types not subject to RBS requirements
