ABC Posts Revocation at Dhaka Liquor in Norwalk
License is Revoked after Multiple Sales of Alcohol to Minors
Norwalk, CA – On Thursday, July 11, 2019, California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Agents posted a Notice of Revocation at Dhaka Liquor located at 10944 Imperial Highway in Norwalk for numerous violations of sales to minors.
ABC Agents of the Lakewood District Office and Special Operations Unit worked the location for a two-year period. During that period the licensee and employees of Dhaka Liquor sold alcohol to minors seven separate times during a 14-month period. The business had illegal slot machines in the premises on multiple dates, purchased alcohol from someone other than a licensed wholesaler and permitted an employee to furnish drug paraphernalia.
ABC filed an accusation against the business in July 2017 and the business had its license suspended. ABC filed a second accusation in 2018 that resulted in today’s action. The establishment held a Type 21 Off-Sale General Public Premises License.
ABC protects communities through education and by administering prevention and enforcement programs designed to increase compliance with California’s alcoholic beverage laws.
