The State of California offers a Veteran Preference Program which allows U.S. Armed Forces who are current or honorably discharged from the military to apply for veterans’ preference. If a candidate passes an exam with the state, the veterans preference, would automatically place the candidate in the top rank and make them eligible to be hired regardless of the passing score.
