CHIEF DEPUTY DIRECTOR - David Goss

Dave Goss was appointed Chief Deputy Director of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in August, 2006. He had a 29 year career with the department from 1971-2000. He held a variety of positions including Investigator, Supervising Investigator, District Administrator, Deputy Division Chief and was Assistant Director, Northern Division for 13 years prior to his retirement in 2000. Goss spent another 5 years with the department from 2000-2005 as a Retired Annuitant working on Special Projects prior to his recent Chief Deputy Director appointment. Goss was instrumental in a number of Grant Programs including Every 15 Minutes, Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (DENT) and the Grant Assistance to Local Law Enforcement (GALE) program before it turned into the Grant Assistance Program (GAP). Goss is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree
