Chief Deputy Director - Timothy Gorsuch

    Timothy Gorsuch

Timothy Gorsuch graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 1989. Tim most recently graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy in March of 2009. He is a native Californian who lives in the Sacramento area.

Tim was hired by the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) in September 1993 as an Investigator in the San Jose District Office. In 1995 he was selected to join ABC’s Special Operations Unit in Sacramento, he also served on a California Department of Justice Interagency Narcotics Task Force in Northern California. In 1999, Tim was promoted to Supervising Investigator and assigned to the Stockton District Office. In 2001 he was promoted to District Administrator. Over the next five years, he served as the District Administrator in the Sacramento District Office, the Special Operations Unit and as ABC’s Legislative Officer. In 2006, he was promoted to Deputy Division Chief of Northern California and in 2007 was appointed as the Acting Assistant Director of Administration. On October 24, 2008, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Tim to the position of Chief Deputy Director of the California Alcoholic Beverage Control.

In addition to Tim’s law enforcement career, he is also a Major in the United States Armed Forces and has served over 25 years in the California Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserves.
