Deputy Division Chief (Northern Division) - Andrew Gomez

Andrew Gomez was recently promoted to the position of Deputy Division Chief for the Northern Division. He has been employed at ABC for approximately 20 years. He was hired as a Special Investigator at ABC in 1985. He was elevated to his current position as Deputy Division Chief, Northern Division, after serving the department as a District Administrator in both the Oakland and San Francisco District Offices.

Gomez has experience with local law enforcement as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Newark, the City of Union City and was also a Police Intern at the Fremont Police Department: He attended the California Highway Patrol Academy, West Sacramento, Cadet Training Class. He also has emergency medical experience in his background with American Medical Response as an Emergency Medical Technician.

He has attended classes at several institutes of higher education for Management Training, Advanced Officer Training, Sign Language Interpreter Training and other specialized courses for which he has received numerous certificates.

He has been married for 31 years and he has four children and a grandchild.
